¿Como te has inspirado para crear este paisaje?
How you got inspired to create this scape?
Primero debo decir que este paisaje es la tercera evolución de una aventura que empezó hace un año, intentando encontrar las mejores posibilidades a un puñado de piedras (tipo dragon). Sabes que no es fácil recoger piedras bonitas y a veces es muy caro si tienes que comprarlas, por lo tanto este era mi reto.
Este paisaje en particular está inspirado en un artículo aparecido en la revista Aqua Journal #172, dedicado a composiciones iwagumi. Ví una fotografía de un tanque creado por el maestro Takashi Amano con un arreglo de piedras similar a mi tanque anterior “breath of spring”, y decidí modificar el montaje añadiendo, a diferencia de la fotografía, un camino de arena de delante para atrás. Elegí este tipo de montaje por la frescura y alegría que me transmitía, y porqué no es fácil tener piedras y plantas de tallo juntos. Otra razón para modificar las anteriores versiones del paisaje fue probar otras plantas, como la Rótala rotundifolia “green” y Ludwigia arcuata, y algunos musgos.

First of all I must say that this scape is the 3th evolution of an adventure began a year before, trying to get the best possibilities from a unique set of stones (Dragon stones type). You know that is not easy to collect nice stones and sometimes it is very expensive if you have to buy them, so that was the challenge for me.
This particular scape was inspired watching a publication (“Aqua Journal #172”) dedicated to Iwagumi compositions. I saw a picture of a tank created by master Takashi Amano with stem plants and a rock arrangement similar to mine previous tank “Breath of spring”. I decided to change that scape adding, differently from picture, a sand path from the front to the rear of scape. I choose this kind of scape because of the freshness and joy it transmitted to me and because is not so easy to have stones fit well with stem plants together.
One other reason to change the scape of previous versions was to try some different plants like Rotala rotundifolia “green” and Ludwigia arcuata, and some moss.

¿Por qué elegiste este nombre? ¿Cual era el motivo?
Why did you choose this name? what was the purpose?
Cuando era el momento de presentar el trabajo al IAPLC 2010 estaba un poco encallado con el título. Tres versiones, tres nombres y no podía encontrar el correcto para el montaje. Frescura, serenidad, era lo que quería fijar con el nombre, pero usé “breath of spring” (fragancia de primavera) en las versiones anteriores. Sentado delante del ordenador rellenando formulario del IAPL buscaba el nombre correcto. Mi hijo de 10 años, Edoardo subía la escalera y le pregunté, en broma, por un nombre. Sin dudar, sin grandes vacilaciones, en dos segundos me dice: papa, llámalo “spiaggia segreta” (playa secreta "secret shore" en italiano) y así fue. En mi opinión es el mejor nombre para este montaje.

When it was time to submit the work to IAPLC 2010 I was a bit stuck with the title. Three versions, three names and I couldn't find the right one for this. Freshness and serenity the atmosphere to catch in the name but I used “Breath of spring” for previous version...
Sitted in front of PC applying at IAPL form I was looking for the right name.
My 10 years old son Edoardo climbed up the stairs and I asked him for a name, just joking. No doubt and no exitations in 2 second he told me “Dad, call him Spiaggia segreta (secret shore in italian)” and that was! In my opinion the best name for this layout
